Andrew Joseph Galambos' work on Volitional Science breaks new ground in the history of the world by providing concise operational definitions of property, freedom, importance, and morality. One can apply these definitions to determine what constitutes one's property, how one might live in freedom, what is important in life, and how to live morally. These concepts were detailed in a course called Volitional Science, V50 and V50T (on audio tape), and with the advent of the transcript of V50T, we might call this book, Sic Itur Ad Astra, V50B, standing for "V50 in a Book". A book which will well reward your reading and study. This reference page contains pointers to places in my writings where I have referenced Galambos's first book. One need only scan these links to grasp the breadth of the influence of Volitional Science on my own life as it is revealed in my thinking and writing.

2.Intuitive Thinking As a Spiritual Path (aka The Philosophy of Freedom) by Rudolf Steiner, A Review by Bobby Matherne
... Rudolf Steiner lays the epistemological basis for Ralph Waldo Emerson's essay on Self-Reliance that had been written some forty years earlier. This book, rightly known, provides a sound philosophical basis for the writings of Ayn Rand on capitalism and the teachings of Dr. Andrew Joseph Galambos on volitional science, and many other writings and teachings of our time. ... http://www.doyletics.com/_arj1/philfree.htm

...

[page 90] "A horse having a wolf as a powerful and dangerous enemy lived in constant fear of his life. Being driven to desperation, it occurred to him to seek a strong ally. Whereupon he approached a man, and offered an alliance, pointing out that the wolf was likewise an enemy of the man. The man accepted the partnership at once and offered to kill the wolf immediately, if his new partner would only co-operate by placing his greater speed at the man's disposal. The horse was willing and allowed the man to place bridle and saddle upon him. The man mounted, hunted down the wolf, and killed him.

"The horse, joyful and relieved, thanked the man, and said: 'Now that our enemy is dead, remove your bridle and saddle and restore my freedom.'

"Whereupon the man laughed loudly and replied, 'The hell you say. Giddy-ap, Dobbin,' and applied the spurs at will."

Every time someone goes to a coercive agency of the State to seek protection or to have it redress a grievance by the use of force, the State places a saddle on the requestor and sharpens their spurs. Saddles and spurs are a way of life to those lacking the ability to protect their property without the coercive State, up until now. Once freedom is built, the saddles and spurs will be retired as they will be no longer necessary. [See ARJ: Sic Itur Ad Astra, Volume 1. ]
