Springtime in Freedomland
It is springtime in Freedomland
We take our capitalism straight
and our socialism sneaky.It is springtime in the Evilempire1,
They take their socialism straight
and their capitalism sneaky.We vote Democratic
They vote Socialist
We both get moralizing and promises.We buy property
and the State takes it away
when it needs it.They rent property
and the State takes it away
when it needs it.EAST and WEST
Our freedoms have been whittled
Away
Until there's not one whit's
Difference.
